MEET THE MOON JELLYFISH
The moon jellyfish is the most common jellyfish . Its scientific name is the Aurelia aurita but its original name comes from its moon like shape. This organism is a carnivore and a r-strategist . It is 5cm-40cm in diameter and does not have an approximate weight due to 95% of it being water. As seen above the moon jelly can be pink and violet or clear. It has a round shaped head (bell), thousands of tentacles surrounding its head , and four horseshoe shaped reproductive organs (under/visible). This organism travels through the flow of the oceans current , so it does not swim.
